Funds Available
Through consultation with area public service agencies, the City of O'Fallon's Board of Aldermen and City staff has determined that housing is a primary area of need to be addressed. Specific needs include homeownership assistance for low to moderate-income persons and the preservation and maintenance of existing structures in order to maintain our stock of affordable owner-occupied housing units.
For the last few years, the City's CDBG funds have been utilized to meet this need through O'Fallon programs offered, which include:
- Home Improvement Loan Program
- Down Payment Assistance Program
- North East Community Action Corp. (Necac) Facility Assistance Loan
- Emergency Homelessness Prevention
- O'fallon "Christmas In July – Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Home Improvement Program
Other programs utilizing CDBG funds include:
- Senior Citizen Transportation Program
- O'fallon Parks And Recreation Scholarship Program
